The defending Eastern Conference champion Florida Panthers rallied to beat the Washington Capitals 4-3 on Wednesday night for a second consecutive victory. Evan Rodrigues tied it early in the third period, and Sam Reinhart scored 15 seconds into overtime.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Aleksander Barkov also contributed to the Panthers’ goals. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 25 saves and played a key role in the team’s victory.

Despite missing key players due to injuries, the Panthers have maintained a strong defensive record this season.

Reinhart’s goal on the first shift of 3-on-3 OT sealed the win for the Panthers, marking their third victory in four games.

The Capitals, despite a notable performance by Anthony Mantha, concluded their homestand with a defeat. Mantha left the game in distress after taking a puck to the face and did not return.

Darcy Kuemper allowed four goals on 25 shots, including one after a turnover by young defenseman Alexander Alexeyev.
