Taylor Swift’s highly acclaimed Eras Tour is set to hit the big screen as a concert film.
The film, titled “Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour,” is scheduled to open in North American theaters on October 13th. In anticipation of large demand from Swift’s dedicated fanbase, the theater chain AMC has confirmed that the film will be screened at least four times a day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at all of its locations across the United States.
Swift took to her social media channels to express her excitement, saying, “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far, and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.”
The ticket prices for the concert film will be higher than usual movie tickets. Adult tickets will cost $19.89 (a reference to her upcoming album “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”), while child tickets will be priced at $13.13, which seems to be a nod to Swift’s favorite number.
Advance sales for the film began on Thursday.
In a unique move, AMC is also serving as the distributor for “The Eras Tour” film. The film will also be shown in other theater chains.
AMC has upgraded its website in preparation for the announcement, ensuring that the site can handle a larger ticket-buying rush than ever before.
