21 Savage Granted Permission to Perform in London After Receiving Travel Authorization

Rapper 21 Savage, whose real name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, has been granted permission to travel outside the United States, allowing him to perform in his native London.
His lawyer, Charles Kuck, stated that Savage has become a permanent U.S. resident and is now able to travel internationally. This comes after Savage was taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Georgia in 2019.
Kuck confirmed that Savage has followed all applicable immigration laws since his initial detention by ICE. As a result, his immigration court proceedings have been terminated, and he now holds lawful permanent resident status in the United States.
The Grammy-nominated artist spent 10 days in a detention center in Georgia before being released. He was arrested due to an expired visa, which he claimed he was unaware of since he was brought to the U.S. at the age of 7.
In a 2019 interview with the AP, Savage expressed his belief that immigrants who arrived in America illegally as children should automatically become U.S. citizens. He criticized the visa application process, stating that it discourages many immigrants without proper documentation.
Savage has announced his plans to return to London through social media but has not provided further details.
